It's really worth changing to! Just persevere!

I decided to make the break from liquid shampoo & conditioner in plastic bottles. I ordered four 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner Frankincense bars & began my transition. I gave away all full bottles of shampoo & conditioner to a hygiene bank, so there was really no going back!
My first wash was sadly lacking. I didn't realise your hair needs to be really wet and you put the bar on your hair and really lather it up. We live in a very hard water area which also doesn't help. Consequently I just washed the top of my head. This I repeated the second time a week later. By now it felt like I had had a two week bad hair day, and I was not feeling great about things. I wasn't looking forward to washing my hair either! HOWEVER, on my third attempt another week later (by now I had watched the video on the website) I took my time really lathering up, massaging my scalp and running through to the ends. I could really feel the difference as my hair dried naturally. It felt soft, full bodied and really clean. Even now, three days later it doesn't feel sticky or heavy, just soft and luxurious.
So hang on in there if you are finding the transition challenging. Watch the video, take time to lather up, and you will be really pleasantly surprised with the results. The smell of this bar is wonderful. I even bought a soapstone holder with drainage holes for it to sit on so that it can dry off thoroughly so I don't waste any. Thank you Solid Bar Company!

Hi Christine, thanks for taking the time to review the 2-in-1 bar! I was interested to read about your journey with it.. I am glad you got there in the end, yes, it takes a bit to foam (even with an added plant based foam booster) in hard water and also as it's doing two things (I like to comb through before and when it's on the hair gently) as the conditioning properties need to come through-... (it was a bar that took 37 tweaks to get it right when formulating it)..I was just going to say, maybe also try the separate bars (luxury more for medium/thick hair, Essential for finer hair), as the foaming/cleaning will be deeper and conditioning fuller-means even less washing 4-5 days for me) as I'd say 2-in-1 are a good convenient/travel bar. Just a thought but glad to hear you got there in the end! Rebecca

Don't normally use a 2 in one, but this is really good for my 'mature' finer hair and even less in the bathroom.
