Shea Butter

Shea butter and shea nuts

Shea Butter, or Butyrospermum parkii, is derived from the nut of the Shea tree, which grows in the Savannah of Western Africa.

It is rich in essential fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin E and D, pro-vitamin A and allantoin.

It deeply penetrates the layers of the skin, increasing moisture retention and acting as a protective barrier to prevent water loss.

It can moisturise a dry scalp or it can reduce excessive oil production of an oily scalp.
