Cedarwood Essential Oil — natural tick and insect deterrent. Gives the bar its distinctive warm, woody scent that lingers pleasantly on the coat after rinsing.

Odour Neutraliser — specially developed active neutralising technology that destroys odour molecules including fox poo sulphur compounds rather than simply masking them with fragrance.

Chamomile Essential Oil — anti-inflammatory and soothing. Ideal for dogs with sensitive, irritated or allergy-prone skin.

Orange Essential Oil — natural antibacterial properties for deep-down cleanliness.

Allantoin — skin-healing compound that reduces inflammation and promotes healthy cell renewal. Particularly beneficial for dry, flaky or irritated skin.

Oat Protein — adds body, volume and condition to the coat. Particularly beneficial for fine or flat coats.

DL Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) — deeply penetrating moisturiser that strengthens the hair shaft and adds shine.

Shea Butter + Sweet Almond Oil — rich emollients that prevent the coat from drying out after washing, leaving it soft and manageable.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine — mild, plant-derived foam booster that enhances lather without irritating sensitive skin.

Plant-Based Silicone Alternative — provides the slip and shine of conventional silicone without the environmental impact or coat build-up.

Q: Does it really work on fox poo smell?

A: Yes — this is the question we get asked most. The formula contains a specially developed active odour neutraliser that chemically bonds to and destroys the sulphur compounds responsible for fox poo smell rather than simply covering them with fragrance. Our customer T MacLeod, who has owned dogs for 20 years, called it the most effective dog shampoo they have ever used specifically for this purpose.

Q: How does it repel ticks?

A: Cedarwood essential oil contains natural compounds that ticks find repellent. It won't guarantee zero ticks — no natural product can — but it acts as a deterrent that makes your dog's coat a less attractive environment for ticks to settle on. It works best when used regularly throughout tick season.

Q: Is it suitable for dogs with sensitive or itchy skin?

A: Yes. The formula is pH balanced specifically for dog skin, hypoallergenic and free from the most common irritants — parabens, SLS, synthetic fragrances and mineral oil. Chamomile and allantoin are specifically included for their skin-soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Several of our customers have reported a significant reduction in scratching and coat irritation after switching to this bar.

Q: What breeds is it suitable for?

A: All breeds. The formula works equally well on short coats, long coats, curly coats and double coats. For dogs with particularly long or dense coats, work the bar through in sections to ensure full coverage and thorough rinsing.

Q: How does a solid bar compare to liquid dog shampoo?

A: The key advantage is concentration — liquid dog shampoos are typically 70–80% water. This bar contains no water, which means every gram is active ingredient. You need less per wash, it lasts longer, there's no plastic bottle to dispose of, and there's no risk of it spilling in your dog bag or car.

Q: How long does one bar last?

A: This depends entirely on your dog's size and coat type, and how frequently you bathe them. For a medium-sized dog bathed fortnightly, one 80g bar typically lasts 2–3 months. Larger dogs or more frequent washing will use it faster.

Q: Can I use it on puppies?

A: We recommend using it on dogs over 12 weeks old. For very young puppies or those with known skin conditions, please consult your vet before using any new grooming product.

Q: Is it safe if my dog licks their coat after washing?

A: The formula is designed for external use only and contains a preservative system. We recommend rinsing thoroughly and allowing the coat to dry before your dog grooms themselves. As with all grooming products, avoid contact with eyes and mouth during application.

Q: Which option should I choose — with tin or refill?

A: If this is your first order, choose the Standard with Tin — the pocket tin keeps the bar dry between uses and fits neatly in a dog bag or bathroom shelf. Once you've finished your first bar, the Refill is the more eco-friendly and slightly more economical option.
