Royalty sails in to the USVI on Boxing Day!

The Queen Mary 2 tied up in St Thomas this morning to be greeted by our son and 84 degrees temperatures whilst on one of her winter season cruises from New York to the Caribbean as Charlotte Amalie welcomed her 2620 passengers.

She has a gross tonnage of 148,528 and is the largest ocean liner ever built and has a maximum speed of just over 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph) and a cruising speed of 26 knots (48 km/h; 30 mph).

The Queen Mary 2's facilities include fifteen restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theatre, and the first planetarium at sea. There are also kennels and a nursery on board.
